Opening Day Ohio BUCK–NEW PROPERTY
Team Member Kaylan FeatherOff Reaps The Benefits of a GIANT SURPRISE on a New Piece of Property the FeatherNett Outdoors Team Picked Up this Summer! Alot of Summer scouting and Patterning from Team Members made for a Great Early Season Buck Hunt, and Kaylan Was the Lucky Team Member in the Hot Seat! She was covered up in Bucks early throughout the Night, as the movement started early from a Cold front that moved in a day previous!
With 3-Target bucks in the area, and frequently showing up in daylight hours on a routine summer pattern, the Biggest of the 3 came out and presented a 20-Yard shot! It took great discipline and Composure From Kaylan Featheroff. Something that is tough for experienced Hunters, let alone a 3rd Year Female Hunter. The Target Buck didn’t present a high percentage shot when he came out, as she is a left handed shooter. The Buck worked off the trail and out into the beans where the Hunter didn’t have a shot. He then worked his way back in and gave Kaylan, a perfect broadside 20-yard shot!
A Big testament and Shout out to Annihilator Broadheads, and this shot was far forward, and deflected off the main shoulder bone, and found way through heart and the lungs. This is impressive with a light arrow and a 40-LB Bow that the Female Hunter was Using! An Epic Hunt, and Surprise. This Buck had 12-Score-able points and tones of Mass and Character throughout his Rack! After putting tape to this buck it came back at a surprising 154”. A great Opening Day Ohio buck!
