As most of you already know, most tree-stand accidents happen when the hunter is climbing up or down to the tree-stand! Here are the materials you need to make your DIY Treestand Lifeline!

Needed Materials:

We prefer this kind of Rope because we feel that it can safely support us incase we fall out of the treestand.

5-Easy steps to a DIY Treestand Lifeline

  1. Cut the 1/2″ Double Braided Ploy Premium Rope into 30-Ft Sections. This is the rope that will run from the top of your tree-stand to the bottom. If you set your tree-stands up higher then I suggest that you cut them into 40ft Sections!
  2. Cut the 3/8″ Double Braided Poly Premium Rope into 5-ft sections.
  3. Melt the ends of the rope to prevent Fraying!
  4. Tie a Prusik Knot onto the 30-ft Sections of 1/2″ Double Braided Poly Premium Rope, with the 5ft section of 7/16″ Double Braided Poly Premium Rope!
  5. Tie one end of the 30ft 1/2″ Double Braided Rope to the bottom of the tree. Then tie the other side of the rope above your tree-stand! Use a carabiner to attach yourself to the loop for the Prusik knot that you tied onto the 1/2″ 30ft sections.
